This piece is inspired by the sitar lessons I took in India a few years ago. I decided to translate (loosely) some of the techniques I had acquired in India to the electric guitar. Compositionally I also thought of a good transition from the previous high energy piece into a mellower piece – which goes through phases, yet still maintain my idea of movement. I like the way strings are bent in Indian music – and love the use of phrases and melodic lines, and tried to imitate that in the piece.
